UMK TUBE WELL SUPPLIES 79 THOUSAND GALLONS OF WATER DAILY

 

KOTA BHARU 28 February 2024 I Approximately 3,000 students and 700 staff of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) have benefited from the provision of clean water from the construction of the tube well project and Alternative Water Filtration System in the main water tank at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Bachok, Kelantan.

The Vice-Chancellor of UMK, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razli Che Razak, during a special interview with TV3 journalist, Mr. Shahnun Hanif, at UMK Kota Campus, Pengkalan Chepa, informed that the UMK Tube Well Construction Project has successfully supplied 79,000 gallons of clean water per day.

UMK has allocated nearly RM300,000.00 to support the provision of water resources to the UMK Bachok community. The tube well project and water filtration system were developed using UMK's internal expertise, specifically from the Centre of Infrastructure Development and Management in collaboration with the Faculty of Earth Sciences (FSB).
