The UMK volunteer team is led by the Director of the UMK Co-Curriculum Centre, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Muhamad Saufi bin Che Rusuli and the Assistant Registrar of the Student Affairs Division, Mr. Mohd Hafizie bin Abd Rahman.
According to Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Muhamad Saufi, the UMKVengers squad consisting of 25 students and 10 UMK staff were moved to the state to carry out a humanitarian mission to help those affected by the flood in Baling.
He said, we have prepared in a short period of time to provide the necessary equipment for the cleaning operation by the volunteers in the affected areas.
The post-flood mission this time was focused on Baling, including the house of two UMK students that were also affected. The affected UMK students were Muhammad Aiman Bin Mohamad Kamil and Maizatul Nayli Binti Mior Murtazian. Both resided in the area of Kupang, Baling, Kedah.
"Our team also joined hands with the volunteer team from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) to clean the affected houses as best as possible and thank God the cleaning operation was a success," he said.
