BACHOK 13 October 2023 I Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) today received a courtesy visit from the Mayor of Kasaoka, Japan, Mr. Yoshifumi Kobayashi, and the delegation from Kasaoka City.

He was welcomed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Nik Maheran Nik Muhammad, and the Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies and Human Development (FBI), Dr. Burhan Bin Che Daud, in the Bilik Mesyuarat Tok Kenali, FBI, UMK Bachok, Kelantan.

This courtesy visit was in conjunction with the International Language & Cultural Exchange Programme (ILCEn 2023) organized by the FBI, held from 13 to 14 October, 2023.

During the programme, FBI students had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Yoshifumi Kobayashi and the students from Okayama Ryukoku High School and Kasaoka Commercial School.

Earlier, several series of introductions, induction sessions, and discussions were conducted online on 6 and 13 September 2023. Among the activities held were cultural and language exchanges between the two countries. The Kasaoka City delegation also had the opportunity to visit interesting and historical places around Kota Bharu.
