BACHOK 23 February 2024 I The Woodball Sports became the curtain-raiser for the Inter-Centre Sports Championship (SUPSAT) 2024, held at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) Bachok today.
More than 24 teams from 20 Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTAs) participated in the warm-up session of the SUPSAT 2024 championship, which lasted for two days from 23 to 24 February 2024.
The Woodball course atUMK, which began construction in July 2023, has received recognition from the Malaysian Woodball Association (WMA). Additionally, two other events were taking place at the same time: Penalty Shootout Football and Mixed Tenpin Bowling.
According to the Director of UMK Sports Centre, Mr. Wan Ahmad Khairul Wan Mohd Najib, more than 650 participants from 21 contingents representing Public University Sports Centres of various grades enlivened the SUPSAT 2024 championship this time.
He said that UMK, in collaboration with the Malaysian University Sports Council (MASUM), is hosting the championship this time.
"Six events are being contested, namely Woodball, Penalty Shootout Football, Mixed Tenpin Bowling, Mixed Petanque, Carom, and Darts.
The Opening Ceremony of SUPSAT 2024 was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) as the Chairman of MASUM, Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri bin Abdullah.
