Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), through Angkasa - UMK Research Academy (AURA) and Malaysian National Co-Operative Movement, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to establish cooperation in research, consultancy, services, internationalization, publication, and systematic training.
The MoA was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of UMK, Prof. Dato' Dr. Razli Che Razak, and the President of ANGKASA, Datuk Seri Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdullah, at the Bilik Mesyuarat Sadiq, Angkasa, Kelana Jaya on 3 October 2023.
The collaborative agreement was also witnessed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Ts. Dr. Arham Abdullah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Mohammad Ismail, and the Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Hj. Abdullah Hj. Jusoh.
According to the Vice-Chancellor of UMK, Prof. Dato' Dr. Razli Che Razak, AURA is a platform or network that promotes and attracts graduated youth to engage in the establishment of cooperative businesses. A total of 50 UMK students, including industrial training students, final-year students, third-year students, and UMK alumni, have the competence as competitive and innovative cooperative entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, AURA has been appointed as a consultant for the Cooperative Digitalisation Action Plan 2021-2025, inaugurated on 10 July 2023, by the Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development.
"This is an achievement, not only for AURA but also the highest achievement for UMK," he said.
