KOTA BHARU 25 November 2023 I The sustainability of the collaboration network between universities and industries is a priority for Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) to ensure that both entities are capable of uniting the entire university community to create transformation.
The Chairman of the University Board of Directors, Dato’ Dr. Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan, stated a close network and collaboration between the university and industry is crucial.
He mentioned that, in the context of higher education, the government's aspiration is to inspire through the concept of strategic collaboration among universities, industries, and communities. This collaboration aims to unite the entire university residents to foster transformation.
Therefore, the organisation of Malam Anugerah Industri dan Akademia 2023 (INARA) is held to recognize the outstanding performance of all parties in elevating the dignity and academic quality, as well as celebrating the success of the industrial sector in their respective businesses and the collaboration provided to UMK in various aspects.
"This can be seen as a platform for all parties to gather and share their successes in enhancing the reputation of UMK and industry partners.
"I have been informed that there are 16 main industry awards and six main academic awards to appreciate the services and contributions of FHPK lecturers tonight," he said at the Closing Ceremony of the International Conference & Exhibition (ICE 2023) at the Grand Riverview Hotel, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, on 25 November 2023.
Also present were UMK Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razli Che Razak, and FHPK Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslizawati Che Aziz.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslizawati, INARA 2023 is an appreciation event for the academic community, faculty, and industry partners who have contributed significantly and supported the organization of the ICE 2023 programme.
She mentioned that there are 30 awards covering three types of categories, recognizing industrial partners and academia who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective fields.
"For the Sijil Kecemerlangan Fakulti category, it is awarded to FHPK staff who have contributed to international success and high-impact projects. This award is given to 10 individuals and 10 projects in the group category."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslizawati added that the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Akademia category is also based on individual achievements throughout the year 2023.
A total of six categories are provided, and recipients will receive a Certificate, Plaque, flowers, and a spa voucher worth RM100.
The awards were won by Pn. Hazra Nazrena Che Harun (Anugerah Pelaksana Cemerlang), Dr. Nik Alif Amri Nik Hashim (Anugerah Penyelidikan dan Inovasi Cemerlang), Nur Farihin Abdul Hadi Khan (Anugerah Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Cemerlang), Dr. Norsyamlina Che Abdul Rahim (Anugerah Keusahawanan Cemerlang), Dr. Nor Syuhada Zulkefli (Anugerah Akademia Harapan), and Dr. Nurul Hafizah Mohd Yasin (Anugerah Akademia Cemerlang).
Meanwhile, for Anugerah Kecemerlangan Industri, it was evaluated based on criteria such as online customer ratings, popularity level, and current achievements.
A total of 16 award categories were presented to industry partners based on their outstanding achievements throughout their involvement in their respective businesses.
Through this INARA 2023 event, all award recipients will receive a certificate, plaque, flowers, and Sijil Penghargaan Rakan Strategik FHPK.
In the Popular Local Food Restaurant category, the winners are Restoran Nasi Ulam Cikgu, Most Preferred Caterer (WMA Indah Enterprise), Most Creative Wellness Centre (My Love Beauty & Wellness), Most Creative Beauty Centre (Sundanese Spa Beauty Centre & Academy), and Popular Boutique Hotel (Ridel Boutique Hotel).
"Winners in the industry awards also include Most Popular Local TikTokers (Beemat Ngepek), Most Popular Emcee (Ezah Basary), Best View Hotel (Grand Riverview Hotel and Grand Renai Hotel), Most Preferred Travel Magazine (Santai Travel), Most Popular Pharmaceutical Company (Imedikel Pharma Holding Berhad), and The Best Muslimah Friendly Spa (Roseville Therapy Centre & Spa).
"Additionally, awards were given to The Best City Hotel (Perdana Hotel Kota Bharu), Most Popular Hijab Brand (As Galleria by Bawal Exclusive), The Best Event Management Company (Tun Event Management), and Nasi Kukus Warisan was recognized as 'The Best Nasi Kukus in Town'," she said.
