BACHOK 5 November 2023 I Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) needs the courage to explore collaboration opportunities between academic entities, industry, and the community at the international level and not merely focus on cooperation at the national level.

Tengku Temenggong Kelantan, as the Pro-Chancellor of UMK, Yang Berhormat Mulia (YBM), Tengku Tan Sri Dato' Haji Mohamad Rizan Tengku Abdul Aziz, said that UMK should boldly explore collaboration opportunities internationally, including in the aspects of students and staff recruitment.

Therefore, the internationalization agenda needs to be emphasized and expanded as much as possible. In addition, the university should also focus on ensuring academic quality and accreditation, which should be strengthened based on the development of higher education and the demands of the present time.

“In the pursuit of excellence, the University also requires benchmarking programmes," he said during the second and third sessions of the 13th UMK Convocation Ceremony at the Dewan Tuanku Canselor, today.
