KUALA TERENGGANU 1 February 2024 I Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) will prioritize the Roadmap and Key Success agenda of UMK in 2024 in line with the Landasan Hala Tuju Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi as presented by the Minister of Higher Education, YB Dato’ Seri DiRaja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.

This priority is also the result of insights and aspirations from Dato’ Dr. Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan during the Chairman's Aspiration Session of the University Board of Directors, which took place on 25th January.

The agenda was translated into the UMK 2024 Management Retreat programme, which was held in Kuala Terengganu, from 30th January to 1st February 2024. In the workshop, the Vice-Chancellor of UMK, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razli Che Razak, emphasized that unity in management is the key to success in achieving common goals.

He stated that cooperation and mutual support among each other are the management processes for the university to move more efficiently and effectively.

"In addition, UMK is taking proactive steps to generate university income involving strategies such as increasing the use of university resources, developing partnership programmes, and exploiting research and innovation opportunities to generate additional funds.

"That approach can indirectly help the university improve financially," he said.

Meanwhile, he hopes this retreat will be the best platform to strengthen relationships among senior management and enhance team spirit, besides serving as a platform for idea sharing, building trust, and collectively planning the university's future strategies.

The retreat this time was led by the Strategic and Risk Management Centre with the joint involvement of the University Top Management and Deans of Faculty as well as Heads of the Centre of Responsibility (PTj).
