BACHOK 8 February 2024 I Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, through the Faculty of Language Studies and Human Development (FBI), and Termez State Pedagogical Institute, Republic of Uzbekistan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic and research cooperation at the FBI Building, UMK Bachok, Kelantan, today.
The MoU aims to develop educational, research, and technological cooperation between UMK and top universities in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The ceremony was officiated by the Vice-Chancellor of UMK, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razli Che Razak, and the Rector of Termez State University, Mr. Khasanov Azizbek.
According to Prof. Dato’ Dr. Razli, this collaboration is in line with the aspiration to position UMK as a world-class institution, aligning with the goals of the Ministry of Higher Education, particularly in fostering cooperation between international universities.
He stated that UMK has identified areas of cooperation with great potential to be implemented, particularly in research projects, collaborative educational programmes, or community service initiatives.
"This collaboration is essential for expertise sharing between both parties in addressing today's challenges.
Furthermore, it also opens up many opportunities for faculty and student mobility programmes, including academic development programmes that will benefit each community and contribute to the global academic landscape," he said.
